PRODUCT CONSISTENCY
All of our goods are hand made & constructed of natural materials, some variation in colour & size should therefore be allowed.
Bottle shape and size can vary and colour can vary in shade.
A wine bottle punt can vary in depth and while we do our best to select bottle with a shallow punt the recycling nature of our business means not all punts will be the same depth. Colour tones of the glass will vary with bottle type used. However all our candles are made to a high quality but we cannot guarantee that any two candles will exactly match each other.
STOCK LEVELS
We work hard to keep stock of all our products. We keep available stock lvelsAll products visible on the web site – should be in stock. If we make a mistake and your candle is not immediately available we will contact you immediately and manufacture your candle as soon as we can. It takes about 3 days to make a candle from start to finish.
HOW TO BURN YOUR CANDLE
Always light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, and on an even, heat resistant surface.
The first burn is the most important, natural wax has a “memory”, ensure that the wax has completely melted from edge to edge this may take 2–3 hours. By allowing your candle to create it’s initial memory burn will prevent wax build up on the sides otherwise known as “tunnelling”, and extend the life of your candle. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a one time.
Keep an eye on a burning candle when the wax is low, as the wick may fall over and touch the glass.
If your wick falls over and touches the glass, extinguish, re-centre (use a match to do this), let cool, re-trim, then re-light.
HOW TO CARE FOR WICKS
Keep your candle clean of wick trimmings and matches.
After extinguishing your candle, centre and straighten the wick (use a match to do this). If your wick comes close to the container, extinguish and straighten the wick to prevent the container from cracking.
Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting.
